Advanced degrees in these disciplines are desired. 6+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Knowledge of arc welding processes. Experience with GTAW, FCAW, SAW is preferred, but will also consider candidates with knowledge of GMAW, SMAW or PTAW techniques. Candidates need experience with either ASME Section III, ASME Section IX, NAVSEA, or Tech Pub welding codes. Candidates should have experience working with various carbon, alloy and stainless steels, along with nickel, and copper-based alloys, in addition to dissimilar metal welding. Must have prior experience as a Welding Engineer, Materials Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential for working with engineering and operations, and the composition and documentation of processes and procedures. Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approval
